Pheasant Glen Looking To Develop Lands

The Qualicum Beach facility has a rezoning proposal before the town’s council that would see major changes to the land usage...

The owners of Pheasant Glen are looking to change the zoning on approximately 50 acres that currently allows 225 units of “tourist accommodations” (i.e. a hotel).

They would like to move to something more comprehensive that could include detached dwellings (cottages, cabins) plus multi-family buildings like stacked condominiums.

The major difference is that the 225 dwellings could now be used for year-round living or short- or long-term rental.

Along with the dwellings, the development would see proposed amenities that include a new clubhouse, restaurant/brewery pub, pool, and hiking trails connected to the Town of Qualicum Beach trail system.

Their plan calls for the development to be completed in phases.

Phase 1 would include the new clubhouse, brew pub, and a 40+ room lodge (hotel) and at least 60 villas and cottages. The trails connecting the golf course and the community trail network would also be completed at this time.
